If you are interested in talking about a new bike, give me a call or send an email. We can talk about rides you typically go on and bikes you’ve ridden to help you make the decision if a custom frame is the right choice for you.
If you decide that the best option for you is a Shuksan Cycle, we will then work together to identify exactly what you have liked and not liked about your past bikes. We will work to establish exactly how you will be riding your Shuksan Cycle and begin fitting you for a bike that is custom made for your body geometry and your riding needs.
Do you plan to ride the occasional cyclocross race but mostly train on the road through the winter?
You'll want to add eyelets to the dropouts and drop the bottom bracket a tad.
Are you looking for a road racing bike for crits?
Better add a stiff bottom bracket and a more aggressive steering geometry.
Looking for a fixed gear to cruise around the city?
Look to add some stainless bits, rear entry slotted dropouts, and super short chainstays.
The frameset will take me approximately three weeks to complete. During that time you are more than welcome to schedule a visit to come out to watch your frame being constructed. I will also regularly post pictures on the blog to keep you up to date on the progress of the building process. It will then go off to be painted the colors of your preference.
If you chose to purchase a complete bike, I will get the frame back, build it up, test ride it to insure everything is perfectly adjusted, box it, and ship it to you.
Regardless of your final decision, I am happy to work with you to return cycling to a pursuit that avoids the materialism and consumerism that is being pushed today by the major manufacturers.
