Canadian Customers
Why would I buy parts in the U.S. when there are great shops here in Canada?

For many components, the prices in the U.S. are a lot lower than north of the border.

Isn’t it a pain to cross the border?

Yes, but we can make it easier.
If you pedal across the border your wait time is cut from hours to minutes. We can even meet you at the border if you want to skip the 5 mile ride.

Paperwork prepared in accordance with the border patrol’s wishes keeps you moving through the border.

Aren’t the taxes and duties a killer?

Nope. For goods made in the U.S. or Canada (Pauls, Phil Wood, Zipp, White Industries, Park Tools, Fox, etc.) there is no duty. In cact, they are even exempt from PST. That means you pay a 5% GST and that’s it. Duties are huge for bikes made in China or Taiwain but parts and U.S. made bikes are good.

What if I don’t have a passport (or I’m not allowed in the U.S.)?

Have a friend pick it up. We’re not equipped to cross the border as an importer/exporter.

How much are the duties and taxes?

The GST is 5%. That’s it.

Couldn’t I just lie and say that I didn’t just buy the part but brought it south for some reason?

Well, Canadian Border services warn;
“If you do not declare goods, or if you falsely declare them, we can seize the goods. This means that you may lose the goods     permanently...In addition, the Customs Act provides border services officers with the authority to seize all vehicles that were used to import goods unlawfully...”
It’s not worth it!
